Everything Everywhere All at Once

This movie is definitely odd and confusing. Absurdism is very prominent in this film, relating to the characters and the world itself. Evelyn is the main character of this movie, and we see her character change as she sees herself in different universes. We see her confused as she's being shown the different versions of herself and how she acts when she returns to her normal self that she knows. Later in the movie she tries to explain what is happening and why everyone is acting weird. Her daughter and husband think she’s crazy and ridiculous for thinking anything like that was possible. This movie is bizarre and strange, and it shows it. This movie does a very good job at showing absurdism with the main character. Her actions and behaviors change based off the other versions of herself from different universes. It’s strangeness really makes this movie interesting, like all the things that happen when Joy fights other people and makes things that shouldn’t happen, happen. For example, near the beginning in Everything Part 1, when Evelyn sees Joy, but she is not herself, makes the guards do things they had no control over because she is alternating reality. Like how she changes the scene into a dance and a wrestling match. This seems to be an ongoing trend in the movie as Evelyn starts to do the same thing. Overall, this movie does a great job at showing absurdism in many different forms. I definitely enjoyed watching this movie and witnessing the strange events unfold in front of me.
